stupid sony halted security updates in 2019, and maxxed out on android 9. So to remain safe, you have to unlock. If you unlock using the regular way, you lose your unique DRM keys of the device. So you have to downgrade, root, backup the TA partition containing the DRM keys, unlock, upgrade to a custom rom, restore the TA partition...
